I've seen a lot of these kits sold in the US. I've found one Canadian company that sells the 80% lower receiver. So finding the 80% lower receiver in Canada is no problem.

But i haven't found any dealers in Canada that sell a 80% kit less the lower. Are the parts illegal in Canada or something?

Thanks guys

I'm not your bro G...
What class of PAL do you have?

wow! thanks for the warm welcome.

I'm going to put you on ignore. It's attitudes like yours that make forums like these a crappy place to come.

good bye.

Purchasing a finished lower is inexpensive and less of a hassle than a parts kit. Several dealers are on the site, and have banners at the top of the page.
Unless you have the know-how and tools, they are a waste of effort, imho.

good buy.
Good buy? what did you buy?

You come on here with a first post talking about 80% stuff, talk like a younger kid,and dump on the forum..

You reek of trouble with the nature of your first post and don't deserve a warm welcome

Hey thanks! Yes, i've looked at a few of the sponsors sites. I guess it's like everything else in Canada...2 times the cost of the US. You just can't win even though our dollars the same. I'm a welder by trade and i'm pretty handy with a lathe, so i thought i could save myself some money.

Just trying to figure out the best way to go. If it's going to cost me an arm and leg, i might just stick with my mini30. At least it can come to the bush with me.

Wolverine sells 100% lowers for about what Dlask sells their unfinished ones for. So buy a finished one and save several hundred dollars from not having to buy the tools and anodizing equipment needed to finish the 80% one.

Assuming you have the proper liscenses?

Ok maybe a 5 foot poll

if you are planning to save a few bucks just buy a stripped lower, with the BS involved you won't save that much getting a 80% frame. lowers start around $200.

Well there you go..you can throw it in the lathe and finish it up, just weld up the 7075 if you make a mistake!

I've got an 80% Cooey kicking around...if i can find the damn bolt i lost,i can get it back to 100% :)

what does piss me off is that you still pay double here for a complete AR upper then what it costs down south.

Yes, that's the whole problem. You can buy a pretty nice A2 for 800 bucks. There's no way i'm going to drop 1500 bucks for a gun i can't take in the bush. If i can piece one together for cheaper, so be it. Thanks for all the info, i didn't mean to step on anyones toes here.
