I wish all this nonsense would go away. I guess that's why I support only the libertarians and conservatives, it seems like our best bet for the future of our sport. I have some respect for a person who at least looks into the possibility of constructing their own firearm in this geo-political climate, even still this guy could be one of our 'guests' on a fishing trip.

You buy one of those bottom feeder's kit, you will be screwed if it doesn't work in Canada. Besides, yourexporter has to apply for export license to get it out of the US. You cannot just mail it out -no company will send it to Canada with their right mind unless they want to get a hefy fine or possibly jail time. If you plan on "smuggling" it out yourself, you will go to jail if you get caught by the US -right - it is called smuggling.

weirdness

My computer gives me a security alert whenever I look at this thread.

'lentil.biz' is the name of the company referred to.

Yes I got the same message - Weird!!!!!!!

80% lowers -- well depends on the CFC tech you talk to.
from the 28day after to register - to when you make it, to when you have the intent.

Hey I have lots of intent - but damn I dont have time to act on 90% of them..........

Yeah, I'm getting the exact same thing, did it again when I replied to your post. I wonder what the hell is going on. Whatever it is I didn't install the certificate.

80% receivers are crap. First they cost a lot if you have to do them, secondly, you will build crappy product and have real troubles with registration. It's much easier to buy a good factory build one that is already on Registry. $200 and you're set with properly 100% completed and registered one.

if you legally finish a 80% to a working receiver.... it can't ever be sold anyways..... it is registered to the owner and that's it.... till thier next o kin inherit it when they kick the bucket....... told to me by a CFO in our recent discussions on this very topic.

There have been people that have sold home-made firearms before (on this forum) and the transfer went fine.

About that lentil.biz stuff, that's my proxy server, (proxify.us), I was trying to put smilies in there and it masked the smilies, so I tried putting them in there as images, it worked but it apparently had unforseen blowback:redface: it has nothing to do with the black helicopters. In fact; if you see them again, ignore them!:p
