Found an AR-15 armorers set with the punches, small hammer, punch block, upper and lower receiver vise blocks and the field case for carrying not too sure what else is there I didnt look to closely at it but I could get it for just under $300. Thing is I have no idea what the value is on these items is that a good price??

Depending on the quality of the tools and what is included, yes, no, maybe… lol… you can checkout Brownells to get an idea of what some of the tools are worth

$300! Holy ####.

The only specialized tools I have ever needed are the upper vise block, a combo tool, and a dedicated stock wrench, and I only use the combo tool for the barrel nut wrench. These didn't cost anywhere near that much and you can get punches and other small tools at a hardware store.

Stevo is good to go on that one. Some kits are just way overpriced and you'll never use half of the stuff anyway.

I got a punch set with a ton of screwdriver bits, screwdriver, hammer and FSB block for $80 at Cabelas. Hammer has a brass and plastic side that unscrew if they need replacing. I've used everything in that kit and for more then just firearms.
