Sparc is ok but this optic have parallax. Not so much but.....

I want a better optic for my LMT. I'll pay more than a sparc with aimpoint or eotech, but I like quality product. I alredy spent money for an LMT, I'll not cheap on optic :)
 
I have seen some EoTech's go fairly cheap on the EE here. The older models like 552 that take the AA's. Alot of people have been jumping onto the aimpoint bandwagon. Don't blame them, they are great optics too. I would just look for a good deal on the EE. Good things come to little boys who wait.

Well big army in the USA continued to utilize aimpoints as their standard sight. Granted .gov sales aren't always the greatest to argue a point but it should be pointed out anyways.

Aimpoint battery life is superior.

I have personally had 2 eotechs stop working for me. Another individual I know had his stop working as well.

Eotech recently released a version of their optic with a hazmat/zombie reticle. Enough said about that.

Aimpoint t1 with mount is around 105 grams. An eotech xps3 is around 227 grams.

Feel free to do more research on your own.

Big Army also use a lot of Eotech.

Aimpoint does have longer battery life, but most of us will run out of bullets before we need to replace the batteries on a Eotech.

And what does a good mount for the T/H1 cost on top of the sight cost.

For the record,I like both aimpoint and eotech.

I like both as well. In fact I prefer the eotech reticle and large window over my current aimpoint T1. That being said I went with the T1 because it's a superior product, and I was tired of my eotechs not working.
 
I have an EOTech EXPS and absolutely love it when shooting in that 25 - 75 yard range. Guys will complain about the battery life but my life isn't at risk when the batteries go dead so when that happens I'll just stop and replace the battery. Furthermore, the exps will work great in combination with your stock LMT irons.....just attach it to your rail and you're good to go for lower 1/3 co-witnessing.
 
I vote for the Aimpoint. I have the 2 moa comp m3. If I did it again I would prob go with the H1 micro. Get the 2moa model if you ever want to shoot longer range. You say now that you wont but thats like saying you will only buy one ar:D
 
I run an Aimpoint Micro T1 on a 14.5 LMT. Simple and reliable and light. What else do you want?
 
H1 is good optic choice over the T1 to save money. You don't give up anything except the NV settings and (I believe) the 30m submersion rating.
 
Personally I prefer the holographic EOTech reticle over the AimPoint's red dot for the advantages of the two eye open shooting method and the fact that no matter what angle your viewing it from (within reason) the EOTech is always on target. That allows for more adaptive shooting positions.

The EOTech's 65 MOA ring allows for ultra fast visual acquisition of the reticle for ultra close targets and the 1 MOA dot allows for very accurate shots even from 100 yards. (I can hit an orange egg no problem, benched, using the single eye method)

EOTech's will drain way more juice because of the complexity of the technology being used. L3 usually makes things like holographic heads up displays for fighter jets so the value in the somewhat 'borrowed from another industry' technology your getting for $400 is exceptionally well priced in my opinion.

Just some of my thoughts, keep in mind some prefer Trijicon, Elcan, Aimpoint, Burris, C-More, SightDoctor etc... There is a lot of options out there and they all have different advantages like weight, price, size, battery life/type, durability, warranty etc. So read a lot of reviews on that particular model before committing to a purchase.
 
How does a red dot sight work with regards to looking through the sight at various angles in terms of 'dot on target, shots on target' like a holo. I've seen how the EOtechs work, but haven't really seen the Aimpoint red dots.
 
x2 got one for those exact reason, for your use (and mine) I don't think you could get better.
