AR-15 Buffer tube question.

I just got my NEA-15 10.5". It is my fisrt AR platform rifle and I am not that knowledgeable on them at this point.

The buffer tube itself is rattling on the inside. I will assume this is not supposed to happen. Any advice / information is greatly appreciated.

It's the buffer that rattles, it has 3 loose weights inside. Take the buffer/spring out of the receiver extension and you'll see.

Yes I did. You're right. it just dosen't seem like it should rattle at all. Do all buffers rattle?

The buffers act, in part, like a dead-blow hammer.

Inside the many buffers out there.

If your buffer doesn't rattle, that means the weights inside are stuck and that's not good.
