AR 15 caliber swap?

Just wondering if all someone would need to swap to 6.5 Grendel (from 5.56) would be a bolt,barrel and mags ?

I’ve read 7.62x39 mags might work?

I believe it's just barrel, bolt, magazine. But I don't own one so I may be wrong there.

A friend of a friend converted his Raven to 6mmARC recently, it's pretty sweet.

Just looked at the 6mm arc… pretty impressive.
Barrels and bolts must be difficult to get though.

Yeah, it's certainly not common in Canada at all but it is gaining popularity in the US due to it running well in AR15 style rifles at distance.
Hopefully we get a new gov soon and open up trade with the US again so we can keep up with the times lol

Yes. What else would you change?

Maybe gas tube to match the gas system length.

Wouldn’t it be easier to just keep a second complete AR barrelled upper with BCG and mags for the conversion?

Most AR caliber swaps are mag, bolt and barrel.

You might need an adjustable gas block.

I have an extra BCG , so I’ll track down a bolt , barrel and mags…
