AR-15 collapsible to fixed stock question

I have a 9mm Bushmaster Carbon-15 with collapsible stock on it. I'd like to swap the collapsible stock with an A2 style fixed one. I'd like to put the collapsible stock on the lower which has the fixed stock on it (straight swap). Will this work or is there something i'm going to need to purchse?

Assuming all the components are there that you need, then yes, you can straight up swap.

The only thing you might need are special tools for removing the collapsible stock.

I'm assuming you know that you'll need to swap the buffer tubes and components to the other rifle as well. I'm also assuming that your other rifle is a .223/5.56.

The A2 buffer should work fine with the 9mm, but I don't know if the 9mm buffer is going to work well in the .223 rifle. Research that, and worst case scenario is you need to buy a new buffer.

the rifle with the fixed stock is a .556 and the rifle with the collapsible is a 9mm. I'm going to try a straight swap and see if they each cycle right.
