I have a Norc CQA 14.5" carbine, one of the first batch that came into the country years ago. It has run like a top from day one. Out last week and on my second magazine of the day it refuses to extract. Get it home break it down and its extractor spring has broken. No biggie, change the spring. Sourced a 3 pack of the Wolff Xtra power extractor springs. On the instructions it says to something along the lines of 'use with the colored insert that is in your current extractor spring'.
Now in my rifle there was no insert, just a spring. In the manual that came with the rifle the exploded view drawing only shows a spring, no insert. So I assume that is the way these were produced. Have other CQA owners experienced the same thing?
So the question is should I be running a insert with this spring or just the spring alone?
If I should be, does anyone know where I can get just the inserts in Canada?
(Just to be clear I am talking about the little insert not an after market 'D' or 'O' ring)
Thanks.
