I have had issues that I originally thought was caused by my upper receiver however I have tested it will other lowers without issue. I recently switched to a Geiselle SSA setup and since then I have been having issues which I believe relate to the hammer dragging on the bolt. I don't want to crack out a file and make mistakes. I didn't have this issue prior to installing the new trigger.

Has anyone else had this issue?

When you say you are having problems related to 'hammer drag'......what exactly is the issue?

Short stroking? or you just notice marks on the underside of the carrier?

I've read that the spring for the SSA is slightly stronger/stiffer than the standard ar15 hammer spring (not sure how true that is).

Most short stroking issues are because of too small a gas port (although sometimes underpowered ammo or reloads).

It could be that your gun is under gassed and the (potentially) lighter stock hammer spring was just light enough to allow it to cycle and the SSA spring just put it over the line, but it's hard to diagnose without the gun in front of you.

What direction did your gun eject cases before you changed out the trigger? My guess is backwards and about the 4:30+ position?
