AR-15/LMT 308 legal questions

Sorry for my ignorance, I apologize for being a bit out of the loop on the AR's in regards to C-71.......I am doing my part fighting this useless piece of legislation though!!!!!
First has bill C-71 received royal assent yet? Is the door open to still acquire a AR-15? If so who has got lowers in stock (Colt Canada or just reg Colt)
Secondly, owning a LMT in 308 cal.....will these become prohibs along with AR-15's because it's considered a variant?

Bill C-71 has no provisions related to the AR-15, so there is nothing to be "in the loop" for.
