AR-15 Lower

easiest thing to do would be to buy a lower parts kit. I'd get the whole kit then you know you have everything. Depending on what you want you can go nice and cheap or go a bit more premium. I'm in the same boat as you right now, minus actually owning a stripped lower... I think I'm going to go with the Spike Tactical Premium LPK. has some good little goodies in there without breaking the bank for something top tier.

Where did you get the lower from? Get a LPK from them as well or order one up from whoever you like. I grabbed a stripped lower and a lpk a few months back from SFRC and put it together easily after watching a couple youtube videos. I'll try an upper next and see how it goes but it looks like I may need a few new tools to assemble an upper.

Wolverine has a huge selection of parts. Get a Daniel Defense lower parts kit. I just installed my first one into a stripped lower and was actually pretty easy. One hint. Youtube is your friend. I just followed along and it went together really well.

Thanks for the help, I checked youtube and found great help, I am going to order up a DPMS lower parts kit in a few days hopefully :) If I order a magpul stock would it come with the buffer tube? And does anyone know where to get good uppers without having to sell my kidney? Thanks!

Hi Jason - AR15.com has some great guides on how to complete your lower.

Magpul stocks do not come with the buffer tube - you would have to buy your own buffer tube, spring, buffer, castle nut, and lock nut.

We carry a Tapco kit which has all the components together - http://ctcsupplies.ca/products/tapco-intrafuse-mil-spec-stock-assembly

The complete assembly is actually cheaper than buying each part individually.

Stocks come in two sizes - commercial and mil-spec - the Tapco kit is a milspec tube - and we have magpul milspec stocks here.
