Would be really difficult to get grandfathered for a NEW pistol.. they had to be in country when the 12.3 (?) class was created
Good to see our members are awake at the switch though.

Yeah, got me there ... I was referring 'generally' to owning prohibs rather than any particular firearm.

The Carbon 15 and LWRC Pistol are just AR15s.
The Swat Pistol is full auto, so it's prohib in Canada 'cept to those Grandfathered with Class 12(2) FULL AUTO on their Firearms License.
Grandfathered status allows you to possess and acquire prohibited firearms that are already registered in Canada, but not to bring a prohibited firearm into Canada as a new import.
Here's a list of what is prescribed as Restricted and Prohibited Firearms in Canada. It's the RCMP website. Look for yourself. While there, explore other firearm laws available for your perusal.

Hold on there, from what the manufacturer's site said, the 556's action is a semi-auto action...not full auto...and are you saying that I CAN get the Carbon 15 & the LWRC Pistol to Canada given that they are both semi-auto action and defined as a pistol or there's another reason...
Any other brands besides PWS & RRA (which are in the end good brands) that I can get ar-15 pistols that can fire .223s?
Are these legal?
