This was being briefly discussed on another thread I can't find now, but am wondering what a wider audience would have to say about this.

People seem to have differing opinions on loaded vs. unloaded m14 mags, regarding spring compression, or loss of tensile strength, etc. Does anyone have any experiences to back up an opinion either way?

well being as your only loading to 5 rounds... I suppose you could store it for a few hundred years with no probs...

I was told a story about a german submachine gun from WWII was found in a attic in Europe. Loaded mags and all. Functioned perfectly to everyone surprise.

The nutsack.

They do not work reliably when bounced around. I see them pretty regularily at tac rifle matches down south and they consistently do not work when guys start running around with them.
