Do you guys have any sources or maintenance guides for my new rifle. From dry cycling/firing I have noticed some wear spots and applied some oil, I also ran some G96 through the barrel, but other than that, I'm not sure if there are any cleaning tips/tricks which might be helpful.

I was thinking of getting some break-free for this, what do you guys think?

Hi! Got my first AR just a month ago! This has been useful to me.

BreakFree? CLP ? It's all good! Many others like 5W30 automotive oil, some people grease their bolt lugs, some folks love ATF fluid mixed with other potions. All is good... depends on what kind of budget you are working with. Some swear by Militec, others swear AT it! :D

I like to KISS and hence, I just use the Hoppes9 oil in the orange bottle found for $ 2.99 at Ukrainian Tire, even works on my paintball Autocockers!! Nice flip top container, small size, fits everywhere, nothing exotic, just works well for my needs.

Buy and use what works for you. Just keep you bolt carrier wet!

Peace out!

What about lubing the upper inside hood of the receiver, where the charging handle slides along it?? I noticed some wear there as well, but its not a lube point on the diagram.
