AR-15 Non-Restricted?

The status of the AR15 series of rifles is well covered in the PAL/RPAL course.

There are many threads on this site regarding the status of the AR15 family of rifles and the rediculous laws that attack them.

It is suspicious to say the least that you're asking these questions. People are assuming that you belong to one of the anti gun groups and are phishing for responses that could be used in a manner that is not friendly too firearms owners.

I have to disagree about the status of the AR15 being known about in the PAL course, since it was never covered in the class I took, nor is it in the Canadian Firearms Safety Course guide (at least not that I recall)...

I think the question is being raised more often since they influx of other black guns on the market (tavor, fs2000, xcr, that thing from Benelli) which are classified as non restricted and fire the same ammo. I think the only reason that they're still on the restricted list is due to the price point and the amount of goodies that can be purchased for them.
