AR-15 shell deflectors for southpaws

Unless you have an ancient colt, your ar already has a shell deflector built in. I'm a leftie, and with the exception of old model colts, I haven't met an ar that would hit me with brass. Or yes, you could get a left-handed stag.

Also, let's say you do have an old colt without a shell deflector. You can buy an add-on deflector for it.
 
I'm a southpaw and my brass deflector hasn't let me down. That's what the deflector is there for. For me, the issue is the placement of the controls rather than hot brass. A left handed STAG would be nice.
 
As a lefty, I like the fact I can see into the ejection port if there is a stopage without having to cant the rifle on a regular AR & the brass deflector has never failed me.
Keep in mind also if you buy and later decide to sell a lefty version, your market is diminished.
 
I have had no problems, I even have all the fine parts like mag change down to a tee. Its just the final "rack" that im trying to get good at as a lefty.
