AR 15 Stock installation

Just got a milspec adjustable stock. I'm trying to get it on the buffer tube, but the little adjustment lever won't budge, when I try to pull it out.

What type of stock? Just a generic one or is it a Magpul? Takes a bit of effort to pull the adjuster when sliding the stock onto the buffer tube

Milspec. Even holding the stock in my hand, I can't move the adjustment lever

Only thing I can think of is they tightened it all the way so it doesn’t come apart during shipping. Can you unscrew the bolt and see if that frees up the adjuster.

Loosen that off and are you pulled the lever the right way? Suppose to be like ^
