AR-15 triangle handguard question.

What is required to change the round handguards on an A2? to the Vietnam era triangle hanguards on the A1? I am thinking just the grips and the forward handguard cap? Is the delta ring assembly the same for both styles of handguards? Thanks in advance.

The handguards should fit with no problems. The round guards are cut to fit on the round or triangle end caps. The delta ring is the same on both rifles. You may have to wiggle them a bit to get the on if they are new. Once they go on and off a few times, they will work themselves in.
