AR-15 Upper Questions

Just purchased my first AR-15 and it is the Carry Top model Bushmaster.
Its a Model A2 believe. I would eventually like to get the "Flattop" style upper.

1. Am I able to purchase the replacement flat top rail thingy or do I have to purchase an entire new barrel assembly, etc?

2. Where do you suggest I can order these parts if available.

you could just get ....
1) a new upper reciever but youll need tools to move the barrel over
2)buy a second complete upper and just switch it over ....

Get a new reciever. If you let us know where you are one of us might be able to help you out with the work.

You could buy a new upper receiver and sell the A2 model on the EE to recoup some costs.

Swapping out the uppers is not a big deal,just get yourself the proper barrel wrench
