:) I love it!

I do wanna replace the stock though. It really doesn't lend itself well to bench shooting.

Yes. In a free float system aside the impingement system and/or front site the only thing touching the barrel is the barrel nut which is of course holding it in place. Somewheres in the configuration the ff rail/tube attaches to the barrel nut but but doesn't come in contact with the barrel. Traditional handguards are touching the front of the rifle where they're held in place.
