AR-15's

Nice rifle! Welcome to the AR scene! Word of warning, its addicting and expensive! But everyone needs a hobby :)

Thanks,..... expensive is right - I took the new AR to the range this am and burned up $80 of ammo, but it was FUN :) Once I had the scope zeroed I started plinking at a 9" steel gong at 100 yards - it was not really challenging enough, I may have to move it out to 200yds. I also tried out the used LMT 10.5" upper I picked up on the EE. It cycled perfectly, which was a relief as someone had warned me that I may need a heavier H2 buffer. I think the extra weight of the LMT Full Auto bcg may have helped ??

Here it is with the LMT upper:

Very few companies can make a reliable, properly tuned 10.5". LMT basically mastered the design.

Where the heck can I find a good priced stripped lower from one of the major American manufacturers. (stag, rra, dpms, etc).

All the major Canadian dealers same to have none in stock. Is this due to the gun control fears in the USA, they can't get new product in because of the buying frenzy?

Try Saskatoon Gun Works, one of the sponsors here. They had AP stripped lowers recently - but they won't last forever.

Lots of pic's out of excitment! All my bits and pieces have arrived and I'm finally done!

Yesterday was the perfect day to spend outdoors. Beautifull weather, not very cold and dry.

Took my Sabre Defence AR along for some rifle-drills. I never had it out in the snow before, but it performed without problems (besides the cheap ass stock). My buddies of course allowed themselfes a little joke by throwing my rifle into the snow

where can i find a cocking handle like this ive tried looking but havent been able to find one

NEA make an oversize tactical latch for the charging handle. Not sure who has them in stock. Another option is Brownells who sells the Badger Ordnance version.

h ttp://www.brownells.com/rifle-parts/bolt-parts/charging-handle-parts/latches/ar-15-m16-tactical-latch-prod1387.aspx

thanks i just ordered the one from brownells ive never ordered from them before i pick ups intl is that the best (cheapest) option or should i have chosen canada standard or something else there's like ten choices
