Hey guys just wanted to intro myself. and say that you guys have some nice 15s.
I moved up here from the US. and let my collection go instead of trying to get them across.
I am starting a new collection with a Daniel Defense DDM4V7 and an MK18.
I am a gunsmith and a trainer so once I conform with the Canadian laws and permits I will be posting pics of my builds as they come along if you guys care to see them.

I'm in the same situation, I'm moving to canada and probably wont be able to bring my collection, how do you get lowers up here, do you import them or buy locally. The prices for a lower up here according to alberta tactical are like $800, any help would be appreciated thanks.

If you mean Alberta Tactical Rifle Supply (ATRS) (Sorry I just want to confirm), they built custom, ambi, billet lowers (and the seem to only come with the LPK installed). Try looking at Questar, Freedom Ventures, Wolverine Supplies, or just about any "Sponsor Forums" or "Full Service Retailers" on CGN's "Dealer Network".
From my understanding anything that doesn't have a serial number (and sometimes if even if there do) can be... nevermind, I don't want to be quoted on this.
Just need a T1, barrel and a trigger. Hehe.
Looks awesome, Mutlicam is by far my favorite pattern. I guess your going for the same look as one of Travis Haley's rifle. I've got the same components on the rifle I'm building minus the multicam.

Did you get all of the PRI components from a Canadian source?
I sent you a PM. I just went through all this and was asked in a previous post last month if I could offer any help. I declined, not wanting to assume any responsibility if it didn't work out well for the guy and I've felt bad ever since.
And here's my disclaimer and a brief run down: Do you homework and go over all the paper work at least three times. Then hand it to someone else to review. It can be done, there are export exemptions (US side) you can qualify for on a one time basis. Rifles/handguns are the jurisdiction of the US State Dept. Shotguns are the jurisdiction of the US Commerce Dept. Shotgun importation paperwork has to originate on the US side. Can't move up here, then submit it later from a Canadian address, that's a no-go. All firearms and ammo (this is critical) must be included on your inventory of goods being imported at a later date into Canada (you'll find the personal/household goods inventory requirements in the CBSA paperwork/documentation). Ammo importation is limited to less than 5,000 rounds. Before you can bring any of it across the border you must obtain your PAL and/or PAL/R in the province you will be living in. There is also a one time ATT (you can confirm that with the RCMP) that can be issued to get your firearms from the border to your permanent residence. I did not go that particular route as I was joining a club anyways and the LTATT's are handled by them.
That is a very brief description of what you will have to go through. It's early, I've had no coffee yet and I may have forgotten something. But I found the US regs much tougher to deal with than the Canadian ones. You will need to obtain the classification #'s of all firearms, parts and optics proposed for export to Canada on the State Dept.'s web site in order to confirm that ITAR does not prohibit their exportation. I had a nearly new, generation 3A night vision scope for hog hunting that I had to sell prior to the move, as the ITAR regs would not let me export it from the US, even though I legally owned it there and had no intentions of selling it up here.
If you don't have the time or willingness to do all of that your self, there are brokers that you can pay to export your stuff up here. That is a lot of additional $$ I was unwillling to spend. Some of them can be found on web sites (2 very popular web sites in the US) that sell new/used guns. I don't know what CGN's policy is on linking to other gun related forums, but PM and I will tell you who they are down there.

PS, I did forget something. You need to check the RCMP's web site for prohibited weapons. As an example we had to sell my wife's limited edition Beretta Tomcat since it was .32acp and the barrel length was under the minimums. 2 strikes right there. I also had to sell my Kimber Ultra CDPII in .45acp due to the barrel length issue.

One for the black books. Other than different optics (1-4x24 scope and/or magnifier??) and maybe a CTR stock, I think my AR is finished with upgrades.
