AR-180 upper on AR-180B lower

It drops right on using the AR180B spring guide rod.

Be advised, the AR180 barrel is restricted length! You will change the class of the rifle!

I was going to post this in legalese because I wasn't sure about the legalities of it, and wanted some first hand experience from someone that might have done it before I went ahead with this project.
I have a line on a Sterling AR-180 upper. The 12.5 RPAL holding owner is keeping the lower (registered and prohibited part).
I already have a restricted 180B (one of the few in the country, I'm sure) and was thinking since it's already restricted I'd put the Sterling 180 upper on it and keep the 180B upper for spare parts.
