AR 180B Accuracy ????

I am looking at purchasing a AR 180B 223 rifle.....

I was wondering if I could mount a higher power scope say a Nightforce 2.5X to 10X 30mm tube what kind of groups would you expect to get out of a AR 180B at 100 to 300 yards????

The power of yer scope hasn't much to do with accuracy...
I can get 1.5 to 2'' groups with cheap AE ammo and a 12x bushnell
scoping an ar180b can be a pain. I'd recommend the extended Stormwerkz rail

With good handloads and a RRA match trigger mine will do 1" . Good ammo and a good trigger are the best bang for the buck.

I get about 1" or less at 100 yards with cheep Winchester FMJ ammo in mine. Way better than my old Mini 14....

I have the armalite mount on mine and its craptastic.I fiddled with it and managed to secure it to the rifle much tighter than just the original spring tension.Its got a 3-9 scope and is shooting 1.25" with handloads and its original trigger.I have a replacement 3lb trigger on order which should help as well.The stormworks setup has more options for rings and spacing,but 1.25" groups from this rifle are nothing to complain about,so I won't. I have the stock trigger with Eotech mounted in reciever mouted rail. I'll get 2" groups at 100 yards with Eagle 55 grain ammo.

Storm Werkz optic rails are the only option and choice for non-gunsmith mouting of optics.

My mount works just fine. The scope mounting plate on my AR180B has been reinforced with two screws and I got the quick detach see-through mount on it. No trouble as of yet and I can take my scope off and it always returns to Zero.
