AR-180b handguards

One of my biggest complaints about the 180b has been the cheap, flimsy handguards. They do not fit tight, they are not comfortable, and they are not the best basis for adding extras ;-)

So what kind of alternatives are there right now to replacing these flimsy handguards ? I have seen a few FF systems but have no idea in regards to price or easy of install....

This guy seems to have rigged up some sort of handguard. I think if you tinker around enough you can make something work. A while back, when I owned one of these guys, Mr. Wolverine (peter?) said that he had a prototype for a handguard and he was still considering production. Might be worth a call...

There is a company down in the states that is currently developing an rail forend that replaces the stock handguards. I'll post more info whne I get home.

Would be Cool if you could get The Early M-16 Triangular Hand guards for it. maybe a little mod or something. But I like the triangular grips anyway.

Sweet. I have some MI rails on my AR15s right now and I am quite impressed with the quality (especially for the price). I just hope these things come out soon and someone up here will import them :?

I've got a set sitting at home, I can take some rough measurements when I get home from work.

If any one wants to buy a second set of a 180B handguards to play with, I've got a set for sale. I've got the factory buttstock as well.

Isn't your butt stock hacksawed off>?

No, the buttstock is held on with a screw. Ther eis a peice of the reciever that extends into the buttstock. The buttstock is completely intact and like new.
