Ar-180b " let's see your rig"

They seem to be going for between $1200-1500 on average for a used one.[/QUOTE]

$1200-$1500...really? wow i guess this gun turned out to be a good investment(who would have thought).Looking at my invoice for my AR180b and purchase price was $1050 before tax. If some are paying that for used i wonder what a unfired one is worth.
I guess i got a good deal.

I bought mine for $1400 way, way back in the day. I saw the price go down to $1000 and then its now right back up where I bought mine at.

Armedsask was wondering are you thinking of making your lower from alum. or would you use 4140 steel. The gali has a milled 4140 steel lower. Was curious for cost wise. With alum. u need to hard coat anodize right. Was wondering what you had in mind.

thanks Mark

4140??? HELL NO!

That would weigh a ton and cost a small fortune in tools. I can think of absolutely no reason milling it from any kind of steel would be of even the most minute benefit.

Bought mine off a fellow member for $1350...it was pretty much new, and completely stock! Now I've put about $400 worth of accessories into it, not counting additional mags....

I bought mine for just under $1000 on the EE, but at the time, the last shipment was just about to come in, and from what I saw, used ones seemed to be going for $1200 at the most.

what type of alum. then and what kind of finish? possibliy duracoat. I also thought would be neat to add a push buttton to the guide rod assembly much like the robarms xcr.
Likely 6061 for cost purposed. 7075 for the finish version.

Way ahead of you on the push button. The original had one.

Here's one of mine, the other is still wraped in plastic new in it's box.

A havoc launcher!? Seriously? No offense, but I can see that on many rifles, just not this one....correct me if I'm wrong, but all aren't havoc grenade launchers prohibited for sale to the civilian population? So why have it on a non-restricted firearm?

Don't get me wrong...I'd love to play with one of those, but I just don't see the fit with this rifle....

Smak_Daddy...that is a beauty! How did you get the rear sight off? would love to set mine up like that!

No offense, but you're wrong as wrong can be. A Havoc launcher has the same sales and use restrictions as a book about French cheese. Anyone can buy it and you can't use it do do anything illegal.

Ok I stand corrected, but I still don't see it....on THAT rifle.....

Anywhere I've ever seen them for sale have them listed for LEO/MIL only...
What civilian would want one anyway? Teargas down your cul-de-sac?
