I have seen some for sale on sturmgewher??? don't know how to spell that one!
I guess that some dealers actually have them in stock for sale.. I know that the military guns supply web site still states they are waiting for them. anywhere from 700 to 800 for an upper.
It may make a good buddy for the ps90 sitting in my safe.

Anyone else interested in this item?

The advantage (IMHO) would be the ability to use an even lighter recoiling round using a 50 round magazine.

The disadvantage would be that here in Canada, that 50 round magazine would be pinned at 5.

Does that seem to cover it?

NS

This round...in the f**ked up Canadian, limited to 5 rounds, world...doesn't make a ton of sense...
In the 'real world'..in the 'full monty' AP version, stuffed into a P90 with 50 round mags, plus a pistol with 20 or 30 round mags, is a whole different kettle of fish in terms of PDW capabilities...
Having said that, it didn't stop me from from buying a 5.7 pistol....
What can I say?:redface::rolleyes:

I know that the Canadian military took a hard look at the P90. They may be interested in this design for a possible fleet conversion....who knows? It offers many advantages for a PDW. If I was a lefty I'd be all over this as well due to the bottom eject. Dekard and his lefty army are probably PMing each other like crazy right now:D. I certainly wouldn't kick it our of my safe for being only a "five rounder"

There was no hard look at the P90 , it was a personal crusade by 1 man that died before it left the gate.
With regards to a 5.7 AR...no way would I waste money on it.

Impact sells them too.

considering that all the ar's are only range items, I do not see the need to have a more powerful round. If the day comes that all hell breaks loose,or our laws change, I think I would rather be with a 50 rounder in 5.7x28 than a 30 rounder in .223.
I like the low noise factor, at least I find the round quiet to shoot out of my ps90. 5 rounds well that is what we have to live with in canada. like alot of other things.
the ammo is around $35 canadian for 50 rounds,(canada ammo) that is cheaper than most of the .223 out in canada. I am sure that it will come down more especially when cabela's starts to bring it in..
the idea of not having a magazine sticking out the bottom is nice in the prone position.

Hmmm....I wonder if the "Crusader" was the guy I was talking to? Is he from the west? Doesn't really matter I guess. If it's a dead issue it's a dead issue...

I wonder what kind of scheme the military would have to come up with to "show clear" on that weapon. From the looks of it getting a good look at the chamber would be quite the affair.
