I love my DD MK18 too (10.3 inch)

As stated, the 7.5's are flame throwers!

So many people keep saying "buy an NEA, they good, I promise!!!", and with SFRC's current sale it is tempting... but the issues never quite stop popping up.
It seems like every problem someone on here posts about is a new NEA malfunction.
They're just not worth saving $2-300 on a higher quality rifle imo.

I hope you get yours sorted out.

I wouldn't buy a complete gun from the for this very issue. But I have bought components. The barrels are excellent. My 7.5 uses a NEA barrel and gas block. Everything else is a mix of different companies, nothing exotic though. Just different mill spec stuff.

Runs like a champ.

The right side end of the bolt? Is it possible the bolt is the issue and not the barrel? They had a bad run of BCGs. Maybe you got one.

I believe it's more of a ramp problem, because wether I ride the action, rack it hard, or cycle from firing, the right side (as looking down the sights) rounds always seem to dig into the right feed ramp. This causes the projectile to be pushed into the casing. Left side rounds feed fine. It's always on the right. Should I be looking more at the bolt for some reason? I quickly went over the ejector/extractor springs. They looked fine to me, but I'm no gun plumber.

If you have another bolt to swap in and try I'd do that first. If the problem continues then it won't likely be the bolt. If it doesn't continue, then the bolt may have been the issue trial and error. Use a wax pen to see where contact is being made.

I have an ATRS 7.5 with their Lightweight Flash Eliminator. Definitely not a flamethrower, and the concussion is not as bad as my 16" with a Brake. It's plenty accurate to 100m, and I have no problem getting on paper at USPSA targets at +200m with an Eotech. My wife likes it, quite lightweight and fast to run through a VTAC Barrier.

Love love love my nea 7.5''

im at about 3000 rounds and no issues other than a few operator error with magazine.

Its good at a 100 and most ppl that say its a novelty is cause they old school guys and afraid of the change, i hate 16'' 20'' barrels hence why i own only one ar and its the 7.5.

I've owned just about every barrel lenght there is from 7.5 to 26 inches and the only one that I kept are my two 7.5 (5.56 and 9mm) sold all the others. The 5.56 will reach out to 200 without to much of a problem using a eotech and magnifier. WOuld not comment on the take down power of the round but it kill paper or Iphones quite good. They are loud, messy, requier a bit more maintenance than 14.5 and up but just run the ##### wet and you're all good (just don't wear a clean shirt). The only issues I've ever had with my 7.5 where lubrification problems.

They are fun and loud and since I go to the range to have polish inner barrels more than anything else ( i don't shoot competition anymore) they are a perfect choice
