I am looking to get a 12" to 14" threaded barrell installed on a AR.

Don't rush out and buy one for the Service CQB fun. Bring what you got. Some people rock with their 20" Government barrels! I shoot both Service Rifle and Service CQB with my 16" mid-length Armalite! It's all good.
