The Pistol upper loophole is getting squished.
Guys put them on AR (carbine) lowers and the DOS got pissed as they are specifically exported for PISTOL lowers.

From Questar:
Rock River Arms - In stock now...
RRA-AR0363B-QR...
.223/5.56mm 7" A4 Complete Upper Half with
Optional Free Float Quad Rail... $1,115.00

:D

I think Questar is almost or totally out of the .223 pistols.

Is Dlask our only choice for a 7" or 10.5" with the new s**t US export clampdown? :bangHead:

I just recieved my order confirmation on a RRA 10.5" A4 9mm "pistol".

IIRC, They have a few 9mm 7" & 10.5" 9mm versions left.

If the U.S. is indeed acting on closing the loophole, then ACT NOW!!!!

Contact Questar for more info. They should know whats going on.

Can you convert the 9mm back to .223? and at what cost?

You can swap over 9mm & 5.56 uppers................sometimes a hammer and a buffer/buffer spring change is required for the lowers to go back to 5.56.

The 9mm mag block adaptors come out quite easily.

Personally I'd by the complete 9mm rifle/pistol and not have to worry about swapping uppers...............For the price to get the complete 9mm upper plus the Mag block adaptor, 9mm hammer, mags, and 9mm buffer/spring, another $200.00 to 300.00 will get you a complete rifle ready to run with one mag. With the price of complete lowers running $450.00 to $550.00, it is cheaper to go the complete rifle route.

I priced it all out before I ordered my 9mm AR..............;)

I guess the barrel is fitted for 9mm and that's it ... so back to my other question, is Dlask all we have left for shorties?

If you have the proper tools, you could pull the 9mm barrel and install a 5.56 barrel. Then you have to remove the 9mm case deflector and port cover......................too much hassle...............

If the U.S. does decide to get even more anal, them Dlask would probably be the only option.

Last time I asked, Dlask wasn't even interested in making shorties.

Dlask has a DAR-701 CQB on their site (10.5 or 11.5), they don't seem to update their site very often but it's there...
Other that that Questar for the RRA pistol, their LMT shorties seems to be LE only...
Anybody know if Armseast if still have some CMMG 11.5?

I called Dlask about a year ago asking about their 10.5" CQB and was told they don't make those anymore (or any short guns for that matter).

Now, it's possible it was an employee who didn't know what they were talking about as it wasn't Jo who I spoke with.

Best to call and ask then post your findings --- :)
