AR bolt catch pin

What is the best way to get the Bolt Catch Roll pin out of an AR lower , Can anyone let me in on the secret?

No real easy way of doing it. Just use the correct size of punch and tape off your receiver to avoid maring it. Tap it out carfully but deliberately. I took one out with a hammer and an allen key in a pinch.

I have a punch that has had half of it's side machined flat to do the job without marking the receiver.....

ive used any allen key and a finishing nail

personally i dont care if the finish gets mared its a rifle not a sports car as long as it works as it should who cares what the finnish looks like

x2 on that. You can use needle nosed pliers and a 1/16th inch drill but cut off as a punch as well. Make sure to tape it up unless you like those shiny silver marks.
