Search sucks, as we all know... What are people using for brass catchers on their AR? I want something that attaches to the rifle, not one of the freestanding net types.

Thanks,
Mark

Google "Caldwell Shooting Supplies".

They sell a mesh arrangement held on with a wire cage and velcro.

There's also E&L Mfg who make hard case brass catchers for many rifle configurations.

Excellent, thanks for all the replies. I will also look at forming up what I need from kydex, but I am not sure I need another project at this point in time. Good to keep in mind for other rifles in the future, though.

Edit - I forgot to mention the AR has a scope mounted on it, which limits the use of the ones that hook over the top of the upper. This one looks like a winner to me: https://www.alflahertys.com/products/caldwell-ar-15-picatinny-mounted-brass-catcher-530143

I use the TBR brass catcher, not a cheap unit but I believe it is the best available. It folds out the way so you can clear a jam or check to make sure the chamber is clear. It does not cause ejecting issues even when it is heavy with empty cases.

That does look very cadillac and priced accordingly.

sometimes, my brass will bounce off the stall window, and ill catch with my own hands! :)

No stall partitions at my range, I have to bounce them off the guy sitting next to me if there is one. Often I have the range to myself so it is not a consistent method...

Does anybody in the Calgary region carry these? I wouldn't mind avoiding shipping costs if I could.

Check the 3bucc ones. I use them on ARs with scope, RDS or just flap top and they work really well. You can buy 1 bag/frame and then multiple mounting blocks 1 for each gun.

I also use the 3Bucc one. Great brass catcher. I should have bought more of those adapters when they were around $10 cheaper. I can't believe they want $32+tax for those plastic adapters.

I really like my Cadwell. It is rail mounted and not the velco ones that can move. You can also run it with the bottom zipper open so it doesn't fill up and all the brass is at your feet.
