AR Brass catchers? Where to get?

Can you post a few pics and will it work with LaRue style mounts? Thanks.

I heard it doesnt fit without modifications if you have a larue scope mount. Mine should be here maybe Monday so Ill see what I can do.

You can go to 3Bucc's website and look at the pics there for fitment questions.

edit..

this block is what mounts for the brass catcher, as long as it is in front of the ejection port you should have no problem.

Not quite - too far forward and the delta ring interferes. Too far back and the front of the ejection port peeks out. Has to be in a narrow range.

Pics as promised. The holes were drilled by a machinist friend... not his best work, but it was free so I can't complain. Notice the limited amount of metal left over. In my case, the holes are about .020" too close to each other so the 3Bucc does not want to go on all the way, and they should be about 1/8" further back towards the butt, but it still works pretty well. If the holes were correctly spaced it would work perfectly.

Crash, what is that square thing near the forward assist area (although yours doesnt seem to have one) is it part of the brass catcher? Or something else, its attached to the bungee cord.

Thanks for posting the pics.

It's a Horus ASLI on a picatinny mount; the "bungee" cord is 550 paracord attached to the cover, so when I flip the cover off it stays attached to the gun.

It levels the gun fine. If i ever shoot in the mountains, I'll let you know about the angle cosine part.

The mount is solid, the dial works quite smoothly (unlike the "other" angle cosine indicator on the market) and the cover stays on. Seems all right.
