AR building piston kit questions

Hello Gents and Ladies,

So i do have a adam arms piston kit bcg in mid length, but planning to build it in 12.5" or 10.5". Since my piston kit is mid length can i just change the gas tube to carbine length and have it work?

Should be able to just get a carbine length piston. To replace the mid length piston.

any suggestions where i can get the piston or drive rod?

can you not just shorten the one you have?

You need to buy a new "drive rod" , which is hard to find in Canada and they want over $100 for it

You cannot shorten it . The drive rod spring and bushing sits against a shoulder ...the shoulder location to end of rod must be maintained .

If you go to their website and look at all the drive rods it will be readily apparent why you cant just shorten it
