are you alowed to use the cloth or nylon style carrying cases for the AR 15 here? if it has dubble zippers you can lock?

If you need a tool too open it then its fine
A soft locked case or in a locked truck with the rifle trigger locked

Lockable...? Two zippers padlocked together. Is that considered "locked"?

yes, that would be fine, I chose to go with a plastic rifle case padlocked incase I get some knob of a cop wanting to give me a hard time about a "cloth" case. but as the law is written, that cloth case is just fine, aslong as it's locked.

They must be locked in a "sturdy, non-transparent container"

I don't know exactly how they define "sturdy", but if I can't tear it open with my hands then it's good to go for me.

And they don't need to be "trigger" locked either. I see/hear that one all the time still. Cable lock through the action is fine as well.

Saying trigger locked is just a way of saying lock the rifle, theres also a barrel lock but its just easier to say trigger lock

For you maybe, but there are a lot of people who truly believe it must be "trigger" locked. In fact, I just had a discussion with one about this the other day.
