For those of you without a factory case for your AR, what do you use to transport it?

I ask because I came into possession of a lovely Colt 16" AR without a case and since it doesn't fit nicely into anything I own I'll have to pick something up. I'd like to hear about some of the better options out there.

Second that.... I've got a standard length (20") Colt AR-15 A2 Sporter (with a raised carrying handle). I tried and it fits into the factory H&K SL-8 soft case, but I'd like something dedicated just to the AR (after all, I want to carry my SL-8 in its own case). Plus, I am putting a pretty expensive scope on my AR (Trijicon ACOG) and naturally, would like to give it the best possible protection, so, the soft cases are out of the question.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.
