I'm looking for a quality extension tube. I keep coming across the ATI one. Any experience with this one as to the quality and fit? Also any suggestions on other brands would be very helpful.

Thanks,

D

The ATI tubes are 6061 T6 Aluminum which is a "okay" quality if you're just using it for bench shooting. If your banging the gun around, you could try to find a tube made from 7075.

7075 is what the US military says should be the minimum spec. I've seen people with bent 6061 tubes, it's not pretty.

Lol, not to argue the point of 6061 vs 7075 , but, if you bend a 6061 tube....you were doing something with it you shouldn't have been

Get an LMT receiver extension tube from Questar, they have it in stock. There ain't a better tube in Canada.

Or if you want to spend less money and don't plan to throw your AR fron an helicopter, Wolverine is supposed to have Armalite extension tubes (6061, I have one).

I think this was from an over pressured round (not mine)

It's going on a Rem 7400 chambered in 30-06. Using it for hunting. I have short arms so after i'm all geared up, the original buttstock is to long. Been dealing with it for years and finally decided that it's time to fix the problem.
