After installing a YHM Free Floating rail & Gas block my rifle won't cycle the subsequent round after firing the first. Obviously there is an issue with the gas block but I'm certainly not a gunsmith and have limited experience with the rifle other than disassembly/assembly and cleaning, so I'm wondering where to look specifically for the problem. Thanks in advance for any assistance

did you have install the Gas-tube ???

Check to see that the gas port in the barrel is properly aligned to the corresponding port in your gas block (I had a similar issue when I put a PRI gas block on one of my uppers and the ports were slightly misaligned).

He said installing a YHM Free Floating rail & Gas block .not said gas-tube.
if he forgot to put the gas-tube.he still can fire the gun like bolt action.
i already saw 2 new guy have same problom.forgot to put the Gas-Tube and fire :)

I didn't forget the gas tube, I may have not gotten the orientation right when I re-installed though.

My best bet too. What type of block did you use? If it's a bolt on type it'll be very easy to install it canted slightly. As well, if your barrel was ment to use a pinned on front sight you may have to move the block forward a bit to account for the space where the hand guard cap used to be.

The spent casing stays in the chamber and as far as i can determine the bolt isn't moving very far if at all after firing. I can feel the recoil on the buffer tube but even that feels weak, I'm assuming because the reciprocating mass of the bolt isn't adding to it.

As stated above, check your gas. If you tried a few rounds and you're having the problem I mentioned above with the misaligned ports, there should be a powder mark on the inside of your gas block where the gas left the barrel's gas port.
