Just bought my first AR a Dominion Arms with a 20 in barrel and a 1 in 9 twist. I am new to AR's but have been shooting other guns for about 50 years.
My question is - I have no problem shooting Barnaul steel case or Norinco brass 5.56 but I had complete failure to extract with Winchester .223, 62 grain whitebox ammo - we had everything apart - one of the range officers assisted - the bolt, firing pin, and extractor look o.k. - rifle has only just come out of the box - maybe 120 rounds, when I returned to trying the Barnaul it once again performed flawlessly - I had the Winchester left over from my Mini which would eat anything. Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions?
