I disassembled 2 bolts (1 proprietary Windham and 1 Lantac Enhanced), had the same problem on both during reassembly. The firing pin retaining pin (cotter style) would not slide all the way through the bolt assembly. Upon closer inspection during attempted installation I could see the "cotter" binding on the far side of the bolt whilst I was trying to insert it. I tried it with the "head" of the pin at 12, 3, 6 and 9 o'clock.
Both pins look as they should, not bent or distorted in any manor. I have had bolts apart in the past without issue. Luckily I had a couple spare retaining pins kicking around and they worked just as they should on 1st attempt.
Any ideas of what I did wrong or...............?
And on the same note, can anyone suggest a site sponsor that carries retaining pins, firing pins etc or even a "kit" of the smaller stuff?
Thanks for your help.
