ar mag rivet question

Hey, I'm in the states right now... After reading up on the laws a bit, I am going to try asking a store if they would pin some ar mags for me to take back... the question i'm wondering is where the pin goes for a 5/30 mag.

customs doesn't think a rivet is god enough. they will take them away if they look at it.

also and MORE important the us requires you to have an export permit to export those magazines

they will take them and can fine you huge $$ and possible jail time

is it worth it to save $20.00 per mag????
