Why can u get some mags in 10 rounds while most need to be pinned to 5?

The 10 round mags are actually LAR15 pistol mags that fit AR15 rifles.

I cannot help but wonder if you're having a chuckle at my expense, as this question has been asked about a gazillion times, but what the heck, I'll humour you. The 10 round AR mags are the LAR-15 mags originally designed for use with a pistol. Because they just happen to be also capable of use in the AR-15 rifle does not make them illegal. There's an official RCMP statement on the matter.

To this day, I'm still waiting for the government to tell me WHY I can no longer be trusted with standard capacity magazine... and WHY I needed to put a rivet in my magazines...

Well I'm new to the black rifle scene and it really seemed weird, but them so are most laws in our land. Oh I'm also on a Blackerry for a week and don't believe jhere is a search function on CGN mobile

Welcome to the dark side! Buy as many as LAR-15 mags as you can, as every purchase makes an anti cry.

(There is a search function, but I have never had much success with it).

You can also "couple" the ten rounders together with couplers and just quickly flip them over. This is an advantage at multi-gun matches if they don't restrict you to 5 rounds.

AR-15 mags also work in a Remington 7615 (non-restricted pump rifle) which i believe doesn't have a limit on the number of rounds in a mag, so legally i could use 30 rounders with this gun, but because this rifle is not well enogh known I can't get any high cap mags (although being I don't own a AR-15 could I unpin 30/5 AR-15 mags without breaking the law?)
