Federal ammo (bulk box of 1000 loose rounds) did ok in the accuracy test with my Norinco pencil barrel after 15 000 rounds
But no doubt the Federal bulk ammo has some accuracy limitations. I mostly see random flyers after a string of good shots, so I suspect the powder charges are not being hand weighed by virgins on the summer solstice.
My guns have all always shot AE black box into less than 4 inches. Not always a lot better but 4 inch is pretty loose, usually 2-3 inch groups from my experience so far after a few thousand rounds over the last few years. Maybe there is a different root cause? Or a couple things contributing and not just the ammo?
I don't use bulk ammo for target shooting though so it's not really a concern. It's accurate enough for ringing plates.
I shoot it for fun and to get the brass for reloading.
