Anyone have experience with a 7.5" NEA ?

Barrels that short have issues with reliability.
Here is a good article about barrel length in 5.56 NATO weapons.

Yes I am aware of that.
There are ar15 out there that have short barrels like 7.5" and they run without any issues.
I am asking for people's experience with NEA 7.5".
If you're on the cheap grab the Norc...it's basic but gets the job done. No drama, just works (eats everything). Don't spend money changing anything...just shoot the crap out of it.
...I have also seen a lot of pictures where the finish has worn off in certain places exposing silver underneath...
I'm firing up the popcorn maker!
That is a new one. I've never seen or heard of that. Link?
All depends on what you want to do with it.
If you want something pretty to keep in your safe... Maybe take it out once in a while to admire or whatever... Don't get me wrong, I have guns like thatbut my Norc is a truck and I shoot it a ton! It eats everything I feed it and goes bang every time. Turn the key and put my foot to the floor! There's never a question. That makes it pretty cool in my book.
budget builds are good fun.... but seldom are really.... budget....

My 18" NEA works great, looks great, shoots straight, and also, didn't support fu$&ing communism.
Buy North American. There are a lot if great options. Stop supporting communist oppression when ever you can.
