AR parts still being seized by CBSA?

I had an MWI rail destined for my GSG-16 declared to be part of a prohibited weapon (MP5) and got a letter from Montreal. Anecdotally is seems that Montreal is seizing more than other entry points. I'd ordered similar parts before and they've been delivered.

No letter from CBSA.
I’m hoping they release it. It’s for a build that is longing to be completed.
I called Brownells last week and they said wait a while longer. Trying to get ahold of CBSA is like pulling teeth

They just grabbed Tandemkross parts for my Browning Buckmark, who knows if I’ll get them.

I ordered 3 Doublekross 10/22 mag bodies and they sat in customs for some time before being released. I was expecting a letter but instead I received the 6 pieces of plastic that I ordered. Funny world we live in.

After many phone calls and transfers, and sitting on hold, I finally spoke with a front line worker in the Mississauga customs facility.
She was very friendly and knew her stuff about firearms and parts. I had ordered an AR barrel from Brownells during the July 4th sale. It sat at customs since July 13th.

From what she told me, they are ordered to stop all parts related to an AR or any rifle that was prohibited in the OIC. She said it’s caused them quite a headache, and she knows that the parts and components weren’t in the ban, and she agrees that they should be released. She said I would have to fill out an import permit, I asked if she could return to sender instead. Waiting for a phone call to confirm. Spoke with Brownells as well.

Once I got ahold of the right people it’s been pretty easy and streamlined. The problem is getting past the gatekeepers at the CBSA 1800 number. I’m pretty sure those call centre people are required to make sure no one gets to the proper channels.

The MWI handguard that I ordered in July last year (which got held) has been released. A 6 month vacation at the CBSA, before it's on it's way to me. Even though I got the release letter today there's still a part of me that won't believe until I see it.

Still, a nice surprise after 5 months of back and forth!

I had a MI handguard for an AR308 which was stopped and turned back to Brownells.

Waiting on 2 separate orders with AR parts...from Brownells...one is in Montreal, the other hasn't shipped yet...will update once they have!!! *fingers crossed*

Last summer I had some AR parts and pieces nabbed by CBSA. I wrote a letter and got back 1 item which was a cleaning tool. My hogue grip and safety selector were not released. They told me I could apply for a permit if I wanted them back.

I have a Springco AR 308 M4 buffer spring I ordered from Brownell's sitting at CBSA for the past 11 days.
Will they send it back to Brownells without warning? Will they sit on it for months?
Any suggestions?

It amazes me how cbsa & canada post treats they people who pay their salaries

will brownlls ship magpul items up here? or is their a distribution rights issue

I had a buffer spring, buffer, bolt catch and other miscellaneous lower parts from Brownells seized by CBSA. No letter or notification of seizure, the package just didn't arrive. I tried to dispute the confiscation but they gave me the runaround to no remedy.

CBSA isn’t even following their own regulations. Just doing whatever they want. Sounds about right

They kept the little plastic buffer blocks for a Marlin 60 for 6 weeks before releasing them
