Are there any internal mods worth doing on a AR? Like - buffer, accuwedge, extractor spring, any others?
I just installed a Timney Trigger on my Dlask DAR 701, and what a nice trigger. Worth every penny.

Let me know what you guys are doing.

the trigger is the most noticeable one. the rest are not really a big deal to most. unless there is a specific issue with your gun don't waste your money. spend it on ammo instead.

If this is your one and only AR then turf the trigger too keep it bone stock, I am a big fan of stock internals after much R&D and expense. If it is a game/play toy then add anything your wallet and heart desires, it is really the only way you will find out what works for you. YMMV. I will parrot what PW said. Ammo and training are your friends.

I would have to give a +1 to Sparrow. I have changed everything on my 16 inch Stag since I bought it brand new. Only thing left that is original is the lower and stock trigger bits. It has worked in perfectly, so why change it? I did add anti-walk pins however. But they are on the outside.:D
YMMV,
Hoddie

The only isse is if the lower parts kit is substandard.

I swapped all the internals out of my Bushmaster work gun for Colt - due to BM's crappy QC.

Kev,

Your bosses cutting corners by issuing Bushmasters???:D With your excellent taste in accessories and optics, I figured you wouldn't dare touch an AR unless it was Colt, LMT or maybe....STAG?;):D
