Is there one good source here in Canada who sell all the parts required to build an AR?

I have checked out some of our sponsors websites and it does not seem I can do a one stop shop. Everything is scattered all across Canada.

Also what is the deal with mag catches being so expensive? They are almost the same price as a lower receiver.

Where do you guys like to get your parts?

Sorry if this is a repost but I decided to search "AR build" and "AR parts" going back 3 years and did not seem to find anything of relevance

I'm afraid you will have to get parts from a number of sources. Your basic parts, most suppliers carry, but when you want differant configurations in barrels, free float handguards, stocks. You will have to look around. There are just too many companies making them for suppliers to carry them all. Wolverine and Questar are a start.

Welcome to the Canadian firearms market. By the time you've gotten all your parts, you might have paid over $100 in shipping alone from 5+ different retailers and would have waited up to 3-4mts for back ordered parts. lol

Too bad we don't have a Brownells in Canada or weren't confined to ITAR restrictions... one stop shop for almost any part.

Thanks for the reply guys. It is unfortunate really, but I understand the mass amount if companies.

Just drive me nuts having to order from 3 or 4 companies.

Call Chris @ Armtac. He is putting together an upper for me right now. He's even sourcing out some "unobtainium" parts in the states for me.

My advice, even as a newbie, would be to take your time and get what YOU want! A one stop shop might be convenient but you're still going to pay for all of the shipping from various venues whether or not it says so on the bill. I can personally vouch for ATRS, Wolverine, Questar, and One Shot. Good guys, fast shipping, and i got to take the pride in putting it together myself.

-This is my rifle. There are many like it but this one is mine!

the gun center in kitchener. they have lots. you probubly need to phone and ask tho. not much is listed on there website.

Not true at all. I ordered 5 different packages for my last AR build with Brownells... 5 X 5.75 = 28.75 in shipping charges... Thats a heck of allot better then the shipping charges Canadian retailers charge us. Plus the Taxes they charge us, Plus almost 30% markup....

I was lucky My orders went in before the shooting. I still placed 2 orders yesterday on B.O items and I will get them when ever they ship... I will not get hosed by buying local.
