AR pistol mags?

What do you guys think of the plastic beowulf mags? I believe they are made by press check ventures. There is a range about an hour away that has them in stock.....I could just drive there and pick some up, would be nice because Ive been looking for an excuse to drive out the that range/gun shop anyways. I'll probably end up spending way more money on other stuff if I go lol
 
Hate to flame a Canadian product, but IMHO the PCV polymer mags SUCK. Their followers aren't great, and their sidewalls are too flexible. Plus they're short and get lost in mag pouches. They'll disappear now the metal are on the way.

I have had good luck with the plastic .50 mags. Doesn't drop free from the T97 but runs 100%

That being said for the same price Im getting metal ones
 
Drove out to the gun shop and picked up 2 Press Check Ventures PVC beowulf mags, they hold 14 rounds. They had those and the C-products LAR mags in stock. The guy working there said he has sold about 1000 of the PVC ones with no issues. So I'll try them in the mean time, metal ones may be the best but right now I cant buy them so they are useless right now. The range said they are going to Email me a invite so I can test out my new rifle and these mags early next week, so I'll see how it works out

Hical.ca worked with C-products to make a new aluminum 5 round Beowulf mag, apparently due to start shipping mid-March. Preorder price is $40. Other Dealers are on the bandwagon too. Look at threads started by hical.ca, Dominion Outdoors, SFRC, Hoplite Tactical, etc.

Thanks for the head's up. For some reason I thought these "new" mags were different and without the nasty looking crimp on the side…no thanks.

Block up your mags pouches with chunks of hard foam. I put two Garand clips in mine.

I would wait for some reviews and testing first, Hical said they tested theirs but did not respond when I asked questions regarding the reliability and I have yet to see any videos posted from the other retailers as promised

I'll be a guinepig, and post videos when I get mine. To be honest I haven't had a mag not run perfectly yet. Even the pcv .50 worked
