AR Question: S&J Ambi Mag Catch/Release

Hey guys, need a little bit of help from y'all. I have a Bushmaster M17S and am looking to install one of S&Js Ambi Mag-Releases but do not know if it will fit or work. I am assuming this device, which seems functionally identical to the Power Custom Ambidextrous Extended Magazine Release, pivots off of the round nubby thing on the left side of the AR receiver. So what I need is for someone to measure the distance/height from the surface of the round nubby thing to the surface of the mag catch and tell me what it is so I can compare that against my Bushmaster M17S. Please and thank you!

I need the distance between the red lines on the picture.

Also for reference. This is what a Bushmaster M17S looks like:

The objective is to move the left side magazine release FORWARD. Please do not suggest any other "better" AR15 ambi-catches unless they move the release forward or you have successfully installed and used a conventional ambi-catch on a an M17S or other compatible bullpup rifle.

Doh! I just went to check and the Norgon ambi sits flush with the top. I'll swap mine out for a stock one if nobody gets back to you before I do.

Edit: Height from base of catch to top of the bump is 0.158"

We "S&J Hardware" do own an M17s but eveything gun wise is in off site storage due to our pending relocation.
Just the day to day stuff at our shop right now, or I would try it out.
Tell you what, if you want, buy one from us, if if does not work. Send it back to us.
You may have to play with the provided mag catch spring, but if u trim it don't worry.
