So I'm looking for a rear takedown pin for an AR15 an ATRS to be specific and I need it to thread into itself from both sides so a screw in the middle and I don't really care what's on either end as long as when you screw it together it stays in place does that even exist ???

I've found a few options one from a company called KNS another from another company in the states but it was for the front pivot pin which was a different size I'm scratching my head and normally pretty good with my Google But can't find it

If it’s a modern sporter the huntinggearguy says it can be replaced with a normal or fancy rear take down pin?

The type of pin you’re describing might be a chicago style take down pin or it was something propriety to ATRS? I’ve never seen one myself.

If you’re looking for a rear take down pin that doesn’t require a takedown detent KNS makes a rear pushpin that you can order from irunguns

The other option is KE arms makes a push pin takedown set for the KP15. I have those installed on my SBI LPC they just go in from the opposite side a regular take down and front pivot pin would.

Thanks for all of the information I really appreciate it what are the size of the pins the KE arms ones that you have for the rear takedown pin like diameter and length just curious
I hope this helps, the KNS take down is at the top and the KE arms take down pin is on the bottom.

They both use a ball detent, with the KNS one you have to push the top of the pin in the side opposite of the ball detents to retract the dents and then pull out at the same time you've pushed the top in to completely remove it from the receiver

With the KE Arms one you just push on the end that has the detent and then you pull it out from the opposite end much like a regular takedown except it's not captured in the receiver.

For reference each square is ten milimetres

Brownells pre 2020 and then post 2020 an Arizona armory that handles both its own US export and Canadian Import by sending their orders to their Kelowna warehouse first before sending it to your door. If you google this SKU it should bring you right to the product listing.

KEA1-1-61-01-011

I can’t link to or put the exporter/importer name on CGN.

If it’s for a sporter, send me a message. I think I have a few pins kicking around as I converted mine to standard AR pins with the detent and spring.
The Atrs pins were proprietary, but I can confirm that the KNS pins also work.

Good to know thanks man!!
No problem.

They came in handy whenever there's a crazy sale on truck parts down south. I've saved hundreds using them even with the tarriffs and duties slapped on top. Thanks to the tarriff BS a lot of US online sales don't even bother with Canada anymore.
